Organisational Performance Management and Measurement (CS and MP Implementation)
When an organization sets its plans for the future, the direction of all Strategic Business Units and Business Units must be aligned to achieve the Mission, Goals and Objectives of the organization. This cascades down through the organization to the newest and most junior member of the organization. The organization’s systems must be aligned and focused on achieving the mission and this means ensuring that the outputs delivered by each business unit sum to deliver the outputs specified in the organizational strategic and annual plans. The process by which this is achieved, and measured, is Organizational Performance Management where managers take the outputs of their BU Heads planning and convert it to their level, and then pass it down to those below them. At the bottom of the hierarchy this translates into identifying the critical, non-critical and developmental tasks undertaken by staff members in support of their manager’s outputs or Key Result Areas.
